Presentations by Dale Martens and Tony Freedland Featured at MVAVC Fall Show
If you have ever wanted to learn how to grow African violets and one of its gorgeous close relatives, here's your chance!
This year's Fall Show & Sale features two educational presentations which are also free and open to the public.
On Friday, October 7th at 2PM via Zoom, Dale Martens will present “Growing Streptocarpus”. Dale is well known to African violet and gesneriad growers as an expert hybridizer of streptocarpus. You will likely see many of her hybrids in the show. She's generous in sharing her extensive knowledge and has written and presented to groups throughout the U.S.
On Saturday, October 8th at 2PM, Tony Freedland, who is no stranger to Facebook AV groups for his well grown, large standard African Violets, will present in person, “My Five Years of Growing African Violets”. It is amazing what Tony has been able to accomplish in the short time he has grown African violets. If you want to learn how to grow African violets well, you will want to catch his presentation! As it has been said, "You, too, can grow African violets!"
Both presentations will be in the Doubletree Omaha Downtown's Lincoln room on the 19th floor.
